After my recent flurry of festive posts, this will be my last one until the new year.
I went through some of my old paper stash and made this.
It's a surprisingly quick and frugal make, which is especially important at this time of year when both money and time seem in especially short supply!
It uses only one sheet from the paper pack, one sheet of red mirricard, and some offcuts/scraps of cardstock (plus of course glue and foam tape).
Each layer is 'gutted' from the same sheet of paper with a craft knife, and then backed onto the red mirri. The border hides the missing area from the layer below and the foam tape gives it some depth.
I'm really pleased with it - hope it inspires!

I don't use glitter all that often, but I think it helps add some much needed festive sparkle to this design.

Hi Everyone.
I thought I'd share another of the Hanukkah cards I made for my friend.
For this card I went with a traditional blue and gold colour scheme. I wanted there to be some variation - so the candles and flames are cut out of various shades of blue and gold card (which is a good way to use up scraps and off-cuts too).
I finished it off with a multichrome blue/gold ribbon which brings everything together nicely.

Hi All,
I was asked by a friend to make batch of Hanukkah cards and as it's the first day of Hanukkah I thought I'd share a couple of them with you.
I think these two cutting files from the Silhouette Studio Design Store go really well together and make up a beautiful card. The embossed dots on the card and envelope, together with the gold and silver give these cards a luxurious feel.

Hi All,
I thought I'd make a few masculine mini-cards for my stash. It's so hard to keep masculine cards in stock!
These measure 4" x 4" and the retro print and clean design make them perfect to give to a guy.
But they'd also make great cards for the ladies too - they're a nice alternative to flowers and butterflies!
I love the colour combos in this Die Cuts With a View (DCWV) paper set, and the Tattered Lace and Tonic Dies coordinate perfectly.
Lastly the QuicKutz embossing folder finished the envelopes beautifully.

Hi All,
Today brings the fourth installment of the Purple Hearts Collection, and it's another one that features Tonic Studios Magazine & Kit #04.
I really like this die and embossing folder combination - it's very versatile and makes some lovely projects.
This card has lots of texture and interest, and the soft purple inking around the edges really makes the central heart pop.
Another purple hearts-themed card, and another greeting - so far so good.

Hi All,
This design is very heavily influenced by one that features in Tonic Studios Magazine & Kit #04, which I used a lot when putting this collection together.
Red and lilac is not a colour combination I would normally use, but I took the lead from the backing paper* and embraced it! I think the white keeps it looking clean and fresh.
More purple hearts coming soon, watch this space!

Hi All,
Today's purple hearts card is a relatively simple one - free of gems and bows and flourishes.
Still, I think the trellis detail adds loads of interest and really highlights the focal sentiment and heart.
The only little extra I added was some punched hearts, with a matching one for the envelope too (never forget the envelope!).

Hi All,
My friend commissioned a whole collection of cards from me. The brief? Make a wide selection for all occasions, but they must all have purple hearts on them. So for the next few weeks, you're going to see a lot of purple hearts on this blog!
It's been fun to come up with lots of different variations on this theme, and I've come across a few unexpected combinations.
This is a good example of items from various brands coming together beautifully - as if they were meant to be!
